Influenced by the dark, mystic legends of the north, Draugr brings the ancient tales of Nordic mythology to life through their atmospheric riffing and fierce, whipping blast beats. While paying homage to the classic elements of the black metal genre, Draugr adds their own unique twist, pushing the boundaries of traditional black metal with a strong focus on atmosphere, spirituality and ritualistic appearances.

The band’s debut full-length album, Unter Yggdrasils Schatten, released in 2024, marks the first manifestation of this vision. Rooted deeply in mythological themes and spiritual darkness, the album lays the foundation for Draugr’s sound: raw yet immersive, aggressive yet atmospheric. With this first release, Draugr established themselves as a force dedicated to reviving ancient spirits while forging a distinct and uncompromising path within modern black metal.
