WITHERED LAND is a Fantasy Black metal project from Belarus created by Olga Kann.

Epic/Atmospheric Black metal project with dungeon synth/folk/viking elements created in 2020 year in Minsk. Composer, vocalist, multi-instrumentalist Olga Kann is also a creator of the bands: Monumentum Damnati, Astannie etc.

Music of Withered Land is inspired by such themes as Battles, Nature, Mythology, Death, Esoterics, Magic, Fantasy, The Elder Scrolls, Warcraft, Tolkien, Paganism and Medieval aesthetics. Praising the legends of the past, the lyrics are accompanied by epic sounds of the brass section, furious extreme and lyrical clean vocals, monumental keyboards, melodic guitars, ethnical tagelharpa and kantele.

The debut album “The Endless Journey” was released on a Finnish label Naturmacht Productions in 2021. Olga composed all music, lyrics, and recorded bass. Also you can hear the guest members here.

On November 1st, 2024, the single “My Last Autumn” was released, in which you can hear guest participants from Somnent and Raventale.

Second full-length album “Hall of the Dead” was released on September 19, 2025. All music and vocals recorded by Olga Kann, guitars recorded in a session by Filippos Koliopanos. Vinyls and digipaks released via Italian label Earth and Sky Productions. The one-man project has acquired a live lineup and is preparing for performances. The band has released numerous music videos, all featuring atmospheric landscapes of historical sites, medieval atmospheres, and epic natural settings.

The upcoming third full-length album “TBA” is inspired primarily by themes of death, nature, dark folklore of Polesie and homesickness. Atmospheric Black Metal with Pagan roots and Folk elements. There’s a cultural term called “Slavic melancholy”. This is exactly the mood that this album aims to convey. A lingering, oppressive feeling of being out of place, in the wrong time, surrounded by the wrong people. It’s like you’re walking your own path, completely alone, surrounded by decay, abandoned villages, overgrown paths, and sagging, rotting houses. In contrast, wild nature triumphs in its splendor, heralding victory over human civilization. Here, the archaic triumphs over values.
